Education: High School graduate with several college courses. Hands-on training from WV State Police in the following:
- Crime investigations, including Breaking and Entering, Arson, Grand and Petit Larceny, Sexually Motivated Crimes, Child Abuse, Assault, etc.
- Experienced in Accident Investigation, Evidence Collecting, and Supervisory positions.
- Certified in Weapons use by qualified firearms Instructor
- Certified in R.A.D.A.R. operation by Mid-West Radar, Inc.
- Certified by the WV State Police in Uniform Crime Reporting
- Certified by the WV State Police in Interview and Interrogation Techniques
- Certified by the WV Bureau of Public Health in the operation of the Intoximeter EC/IR II and Preliminary Breath Test instruments used for breath analysis of D.U.I. suspects.
- Certified by the WV Regional Police Institute in Domestic Violence Response and Investigation.
- Has attended various Law Enforcement Training Seminars which were sponsored by the WV Prosecuting Attorneys' Institute.

Available / Reliable / Accountable
Either Chief Turner or his Deputies will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He will ensure that the Sheriff's Department members enforce the laws of the State of West Virginia according to State Code and hold accountable the persons committing these crimes.

Platform:
- Directed patrols in all rural areas of the County.
- Approach the County Commission about hiring a Receptionist / Secretary so you don't have to talk to an answering machine, and in order to free up Deputies from paperwork, making them more available.
- Incorporate programs such as Neighborhood Watch and Community Oriented Policing to help fight and prevent crimes in your neighborhood.
- Work with Drug Task Force Personnel from other counties in an effort to deter drug trafficking.
- Incorporate policies and procedures to be followed by all personnel.
- Approach the County Commission about hiring a K-9 unit.
- Work with the Board of Education in an effort to make the schools a safer place for your children.
- Will follow up all complaints in a timely manner.

"I reside on Arnolds Creek, Doddridge county, West Union, West Virginia, with my wife of 21 years, Juanita Lee (Jackson) Turner. together, we have (5) five children: Bonnie, Kenny, Mark, Alicia, Tom, and (&) seven grandchildren: Dusty, Billy, Katlyn, Chase, Lauren, Allison, and the newest edition, Baby Brent.
I have worked as a Parts Manager for an Oldsmobile Dealership, an Auto Mechanic for Chevrolet, Pontiac dealerships, and Mathias Service Center as an Automatic Transmission Specialist, A Service Manager for Four County Exxon, a Maintenance, Grounds, Housekeeping Supervisor for Pleasant View Nursing Home, and a Body Shop Manager for Bob Yoak Ford.
Moral

Health
I received a great report on my recent physical with the exception of prostate cancer (a PSA level of 8). After 42 radiation treatments, the cancer, thanks to God, is gone (PSA level of 2 - Normal). |
